Many visually impaired music-lovers have purchased and enjoyed using Apple’s iPod Shuffle. The iPod shuffle is a lower-cost model of the popular music player with limited storage space and no screen. H2O Audio announced that, starting 25/August/2007, they will be offering a new waterproof cover for the second generation iPod Shuffles. The iS2 allows you to take your iPod into the water at depths of up to ten feet, (three meters). It features an armband as well. Waterproof headphones are sold separately. Check out the new iS2 here.

It seems Apple wasn’t quite finished for the day. They’ve already added another eight John Lennon albums to the iTunes store, in addition to the ones we reported on earlier. The new additions are:
- 1969
- Acoustic
- Anthology
- Double Fantasy
- John Lennon Live in New York City
- Live Peace in Toronto
- Menlove Ave.
- Milk and Honey
All are available, as we reported earlier, in DRM-protected and DRM-free versions.

iTunes shoppers may still be waiting for the Beatles’ catalog to become available at the world’s third-largest music retailer, but a good portion of John Lennon’s solo offerings have just been added, joining the solo efforts of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. The albums available are:
- Imagine
- Lennon Legend
- Mind Games
- Plastic Ono Band
- Rock ‘n’ Roll
- Sometime in New York
- Walls and Bridges
- Working Class Hero
Some singles are available as well, and the music is available in both DRM-protected and DRM-free versions. The DRM-free versions are encoded at twice the bit rate and cost thirty cents more.

We contacted Apple Accessibility about the access issues with IWork and ILife ‘08. The response was brief but encouraging. Apple points out the dramatic improvements in accessibility with the IWork ‘08 suite in particular, but is aware of the problems and is working to improve access in these products. Garage Band accessibility, according to them, is comparable to that in the previous version. We will report more when we have it.
