CUCAT Develops Accessibility Certification Program for Mac Software

1 May, 2008 @ 2:17 pm by Lioncourt

Curtain University Center for Accessible Technology (CUCAT), is working with Apple Inc. to develop a testing and certification program for Mac applications to insure accessibility for the blind, visually impaired, deaf, and print disabled.

The program will allow software developers to include the "Mac Accessible" logo, to display to customers that the software meets accessibility standards and is usable by persons with disabilities.

CUCAT has posted some additional information on the Mac Accessible Logo Program section of their site.
