Apple Launches New Accessibility Web Site

9 September, 2008 @ 8:25 pm by Lioncourt

Tonight, Apple has launched a brand-new web site devoted to accessibility in their products. The site replaces and supersedes their old accessibility page with a site with extensive information on VoiceOver and the rest of access features through Mac OS X, iPods, and so on.

The new site can be found at www.Apple.com/accessibility

This is great! I have noticed in the past that Apple’s accessibility site was downlevel, especially with regard to Mac OS 10.5 Leopard. With this update, there is even a reference to the new iPod menu speech capability, and advice on how to utilize it. And the site appears to be very comprehensive across many Apple product lines.
