I'm thinking of buying an iPod Touch and wonder if there's a Voiceover focused manual such as those for the iPhone 3GS and VO itself found on www.icanworkthisthing.com. I'd love to learn more about the Touch and OS3.1

The OS 3.1 release made a change that I find to be less usable:
It used to be that if you double-clicked the Home button it would bring up the iPod Control overlay, no matter where you were.
With 3.1, the iPod Controls can only be displayed when music is playing, or if the device is locked.
It used to be easy to use the double-click trick to pause and unpause music and never leave the open app (usually something I was reading, like Classics or NYTimes.) Now I can use it to pause music, but to unpause music I have to leave the current app, or lock the device.

It is really exciting to see these VoiceOver improvements in iPhone OS 3.1. I really like the idea of Voice Control commands via a Bluetooth headset. I wonder if this feature will eventually show up on Macs via Mac OS X? It appears to me to be technically feasible.

I see that Apple has enabled the new iPod Touch models with VoiceOver via iPhone OS 3.1.

I have also noticed some Apple knowledge base articles on VO Kit in apple.com/support. Enter "VO Kit" in the search field. What I found of interest is that there is a framework called "iPodVoiceOver.framework" that is used for the iPod Shuffle.
