iTunes 9.0.2 Notes Accessibility Improvements

29 October, 2009 @ 2:22 pm by Lioncourt

Hot on the heels of the AppleTV update, Apple has released iTunes 9.0.2. The release notes state that this version includes support for AppleTV software version 3.0, adds the option of a dark background for Grid View, and improves support for accessibility.

The accessibility enhancements, aside from the darker background for the grid view, are not readily apparent at first glance. Have you found any? Be sure to let us know.

One very noteable accessibility improvement, at least on the Mac, is that the tabbing and arrowing in the list browser now work again as they should, with Voiceover tracking the list items as it used to. Here’s hoping Apple doesn’t break this ever again, it’s now been broken and fixed twice.
