6 April, 2010 @ 4:52 pm by Lioncourt

In "A First Look At the iPad – Pt. 1", we take an initial look through the iPad’s accessibility features, including the changes to VoiceOver, iBooks, text navigation and entry, and more. In future installments, we’ll be covering many of the included applications, third-party applications, and other features of the latest innovative technology out of Cupertino.

Excellent review. I saw an iPad on “Opening Day” and my sighted wife and I were fascinated.
I’m wondering if people who don’t want to read an entire e-book with the iPhone OS voice would prefer to atach a Braille display. Not portable, I know. But it might be an option. I do think it’s too bad that you can’t read e-books on your Mac with Alex. You can listen to your other iTunes content, so why not books.
    Thanks,
    Kevin
