NFB National Convention Hosts Apple Products Session

27 April, 2010 @ 11:17 am by Lioncourt

According to the National Federation of the Blind (NFB)’s Access Technology Blog, a session focussing on Apple products will be taking place during their National Convention this summer in Dallas Texas. This appears to be part of a continuing about face by the NFB where regards Apple products. Here’s the session scheduling and registration information, as posted to the blog:

As mentioned previously on this blog, the Access Technology team will be hosting, among other things, a session on Apple products from 9 until 11.30 am on Saturday July 3rd at the NFB’s National Convention in Dallas. Because the number of devices we have available is limited, we will restrict access to this part of the program. There are only 30 spaces available, so please register as soon as you can. You can register by emailing us at access@nfb.org or by calling me at 410-659-9314, extension 2410. Registrations for the Apple session will be processed in the order in which they are received, and must be emailed or called in by June 15th. No registrations are required for any of the other sessions.

If they were really serious about this, I’m sure Apple would’ve made an arrangement with them to have enough devices. Heck, why not just have a booth or something where people could walk by and take a look? But then again, logic and NFB have never been close friends have they?
